- 18 July 2006: Dr. Lian H Sakhong who was detained twice in the 1988 Democracy Uprising has taken refuge in India. He was given asylum in Sweden and after doing his Ph. D. in United States of America got involved again in the democracy movement in Burma. Khonumthung News Group interviewed him on his way back from the Chin National Assembly.

Ph.D. Honorary D.D. s/o Lalmawia and (L) Lalliani recently visited Chin state, preaching the Gospel in the 4th Conference of the Chin Evangelical Fellowship, Hakha capital of Chin State, North Western Burma. Dr. P.C. Biaksiama hailed from Ngopa village, Mizoram State, India.
