Democracy activists from various organizations, political parties and civil societies, get together on July 21 in Aizawl to analyst the current happening in Mizoram state.

The hot topic discussed in the meeting are Anti-drug war operated by Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA), the powerful non-government organization in Mizoram and the security of Burmese nationals in Mizoram and the deportation being operated by Mizoram Police.

"Since the Mizoram government closed the border gates, they started their operation against Burmese nationals in Mizoram. They arrested the Burma citizens anyplace including political activists. The current condition is if they know we are Burma citizen we are sure to be captured. In fact most of detainees are innocent people leading a normal life" one of the participants told Khonumthung News Group.

Another participant also said," Even if we didn't do any thing against the law, we live in fear. No matter if they arrest those who committed crime and punish them according to the law. It is so terrible that because of a small group they entitle the whole community in the same category."

The 21 participants in the meeting came up with the resolution to speed up democracy movement in Burma and to make political awareness campaign to non-government organizations from Mizoram in order to get moral support from them.

The participants of the meeting promptly arranged by all Burmese political activists in Mizoram, are the representatives of the organizations such as Political Affairs Committee of Chin land (PACC), Women League of Chin land (WLC), Federation of Trading Union of Burma (FTUB), Federation of Trading Union of Chin land (FTUC), All Burma Student League (ABSL), WRWAB, Burma Women Union (BWU), All Burma Student Democratic Front (ABSDF), Chin Human Right Organization (CHRO) and Khonumthung News Group.
