The festival was organized by Zomi inkhuan (Zomi Family) in Aizawl.

"We organized this function to promote our (Chin) festival in the region," J. S. Tluang, president of Zomi Innkhuan told Khonumthung News.

"It is also called the Chin New Year. On this auspicious day our elders used to bring the Beehive for good prospect for next year's cultivation," J.S. Tluang said.

Around 500 Chins from the Zomi community participated and performed traditional dances and songs during the function.

Zomi Innkhuan was established by the Zomi community in July 28 in Aizawl with the idea of helping Chin people in times of need. – Khonumthung.
