Monks and people held peaceful march on the street of Rangoon in Burma.

"The people and monks are out on the streets as they could not bear the repression and abuse, economic mismanagement such as the price hike of fuel and essential commodities by the junta," Pu Ral Hnin, General Secretary of CNC said.

The CNC statement released on September 23, reminded the protesters to always be vigilant and control the movement they have launched against military rule in Burma and not create chaos.

CNC strongly condemned the violence the junta has resorted to on peaceful protesters by using plainclothes people from its sponsored organizations. It urged the junta to find a political solution through peaceful means.

The CNC also called on the Chin people abroad and inside Burma to take part in the movement in Burma that begun in August 19 after the military government increased fuel prices.
