Release of Nation-wide Opinion Poll of Burmese Voters on the Burmese Referendum
Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00 pm
Despite the
challenging political environment, 10 Burmese media organizations have
completed face-to-face opinion surveys with more than 2,000 Burmese voters in
the upcoming Constitutional Referendum.
The most comprehensive independent poll undertaken to date, the survey gauges
voting preferences and levels of awareness of the constitution among eligible
voters – including farmers, students, day workers, business owners, housewives
and USDA members – from 7 States and 6 Divisions across the country.
Survey data has been independently analyzed by an international expert based in
Singapore.
The full report will be available for the media during the press conference at
Foreign Correspondent Club of Thailand (FCCT) at 2 pm. on May 7 in Pent House, Maniya Center,
Bangkok.
Refreshments will also be served.
